Is using EthiWrite plagiarism?
No. EthiWrite never writes your essay for you — in Guided mode every word is yours, and citations always point to real sources you can check. What you submit is your work.
Does it write my essay for me?
In Guided mode it writes nothing: you get a plan, assigned sources, and per-paragraph coaching. In Autocomplete mode it offers short suggestions you explicitly accept, refine, or ignore.
Where do the citations come from?
Always from your own library — PDFs you upload or papers you save from the built-in OpenAlex search. The AI ranks and formats real passages; it never invents a source. Styles render via the official CSL rules for APA, MLA, and Chicago.
Will my university be okay with this?
